did ford use any webbing between the dash and the cowl on the 35-36 roadsters

There was a strip of friction tape between the instrument panel and the cowl wood. Once the panel was attached a artificial leather covered piece of upholstery cardboard butted up against the panel and covered the screw heads. The cardboard piece was contoured to fit the curvature of the cowl both up and down and fore and aft.
