Bob the below instructions would be used if you are using a shock kit where the lower shock mount is a pin that is attached to the new shackle. If you have the style of shock kit that uses the axle pin for the lower mount there is no need to remove the shackles.

If you are using aftermarket shocks and shackles you will need to remove the front spring.Jack up the car and put jack stands under each frame rail towards the front of the car. Now jack up the axle slightly and remove the U bolts holding the spring to the front crossmember. Lower the axle assembly, so the spring comes free of the crossmember. If you have access to a spring spreader you need to spread the front spring so you can unbolt it from the shackles.
After the spring is removed you can drive the shackle pins/bushings out of the spring and replace with the new shackle bushings.
Now drive the shackle pins out of the wishbone. They will not come out easy. Once the pin is out you will have to use a hacksaw to cut through the bushing that is left in the wishbone. Be carefull not to cut into the wishbone hanger. You need to cut the bushing to relieve the pressure so you can drive out the bushing.
Put in the new bushings and remount the spring. Then attach the shocks to the spring hangers and to the upper shock mount on the frame and you are good to go.
