I've had my '36 3 window for a year now and while taking the header panel out I found the name E. C. Stephens, Santa Ana, 7/79 written in chalk on the inside of the roof. The car is tan and was green originally. Does anybody in the southern California area know this man or the car. I'm just trying to find some history on it. It appears it was restored in the late '70s. Thank you for any help, Dave Conrad, 636 861 7376, oconrad32@gmail.com

The V8 Club roster of members from 79 does not list E. Stephens but does list C. from Torrence, Worth a try since this bug runs in family's. You will not get any help from the BMV due to privacy issues. Try a search of phone numbers on the web, find someone close and phone them, to see if you can find a family member. Good luck the name is common. This message was edited by 40 Coupe on 4-12-12 @ 4:22 AM
