My 37 PU is going in for a restoration.
- Brake conversion from cable to juice.
- All new wiring (many years of wiring cob jobs).
- Paint and dent removal

Any suggestions from those of you good folks that have gone thru this?

I'm aware of the cost involved.

The shop doing the work is out of New Jersey Hullco-Layton Garage.

Any information would be appreciated.

Doug will do a great job. Give us more detail on what you want to end up with and I'm sure you'll get plenty of advise here. If you're going to juice brakes, get in touch with Richard Lacey for good info and parts to do the conversion. Don't skimp on the wiring. There are a number of good providers for same.

For those not fortunate enough to know their body shop or garage well, be sure to get a reliable estimate of both the cost and the time for completion, preferably in writing. If those shops hedge with "don't know until we get into it", it would be a good idea to get a second opinion. Any experienced shop should be able to give you at least a "ball park" figure, and be sure to set a cost level beyond which they need to contact you before proceeding.
