LeBaron Bonney advertises it in their catalog. It doesn't have to be in perfect condition. The top trim has screws in the corners that also hold everything together and your going to use a sealer, like black RTV, to help seal out the weather. The tack strip is in a metal channel and riveted in place. I have heard of people cutting a piece of PCV house trim to the size needed and replacing small sections, by prying one edge of the metal channel open, to install. The PCV can also be bent when slightly warmed with a heat gun.

LeBaron Bonney sells it. The correct one for your '34 is 3/4" wide by 70" long. The toll free number is 800/221-5408. It accomodates a rubber insert, also sold by LB Many old cars have roof wood that has rotted away. If you have wooden with lots of old tack holes, but otherwise solid, we use common Bondo body filler to resurface the areas. I learned that trick from an old time furniture upholsterer. Most of the metal edger sold for the top is aluminum, and getting a good, smooth job is tricky, particularly at the corners. We use a wood form to shape the strips. If you are using a sealer, such as RTV, put it around the opening before you add the fabric, rather than under the metal trim molding. Often the tack holes in the metal around the opening are in bad shape from prior water leakage, so solid wood is a necessity. This message was edited by supereal on 3-6-12 @ 9:54 AM
