I'm a new member here, Hi Fellow Ford Fans!

At a recent Ford meet, I lost points for having the "wrong" spark plugs in my my 1934 Ford. What are the "right" spark plugs?

Sandy, Step 1 would be to buy the V8 club's excellent 33-34 Ford book and check pages 3-10 and 3-11. The short answer for a V8 passenger car is Champion C-7 for '33 and very early '34 and Champion No. 7 for a '34 made after November '33. The longer answer takes up two pages in the book and includes a picture of seven different plugs used in '33 and '34.

Yes, the C-7 is correct, but I use Autolite 386 and like them much better than the Champion D-16 which also fits.
For me the Autolite does better with heat and gas than the Champion. Not a scientific explanation, just 40 years of 34 Fords and figuring out what works best for me. When my cars sit for months the Champion fouled easily and ever got over being flooded and didn't seem to like to run hot.
