Topic: How To Install 1947 Radio?

I can't seem to be able to install the radio in the dash of my 1947 Ford. It's the same radio I took out 6 months ago.
The radio hits the bottom of the speaker which I did not remove. I see the indent in the top of the radio but I can't get the radio in far enough so that the speaker goes into the radio indent. What am I missing? Anyone have any hints? Thanks.

That shouldn't be such a problem. The radio is inserted thru the dash, then there are two hooks that support it after you lift the radio up and into place. If you still can't figure it out, order the instruction manual for radio installation from C&G (800/266-0470). It is item RB-47, a reprint of the original. If the speaker has been replaced, often the radio won't fit, due to the thickness of the voice coil frame.
