Hey guys,I'am kinda new at this, but here go's. I just purchased a totally stock and running 1947 1 ton pickup with the huge 17" rims with the 6" and sumthin " bolt pattern. I was wondring what I will need to do,to bring it down to 15"s . I know the 15" were a 5 3/4 " bolt pattern on old Fords, but what is involved? New Hubs, brakes, or just new hubs? If I have to buy new hubs anyway does anyone make an aftermarket hub kit to bring it to somting else,or just look for original old stuff.many thanks!!! John

It is possible to change wheel size, as substitutes are available, but it should be noted that your truck's probable already low end gearing will be even more so due to the swap. One ton trucks were built as work horses, and have differential ratios to match.

If you are talking about the wheel bolt pattern for the passenger cars it was 5 on 5 1/2 not 5 3/4.
