I have a 5-window standard coupe with a 60hp motor. Was there a difference in coupe front floor mats between the 60hp and 85hp motors?

Same color, same design. Many will advise you that standards utilized a black mat. That is NOT true. Ford made one color mat - period and it was installed in all models.

And............according to the Carpenter ad in the latest issue of Hemmings......... He will be producing front floor mats for 1933-34, 1935, 1938, 1937-39, 1940, and 1941-48.

I too saw the Carpenter ad anouncing the new 1932 mat and others coming soon. The ones that have been available by all vendors over many years have supposedly been manufactured by one supplier who owned the original but worn out moulds and refused to upgrade,lots of flaws and quality control issues. Hopefully Carpenter or his supplier has invested in new moulds and issues will be addressed. I definitely will get a replacement for the poor fitting and looking one that I got from Mac's for my 1937. To be fair Mac's have always printed this disclaimer.

Contacted carpenters and they should have the new 37/38 mats around end of April. They are repairing an old mold to they purchased to produce these. A different supplier has been making them with the worn out molds. Carpenter says they will be beautiful. No price yet.

That's great news! My old 38 mat is pretty trashed. Now, can anyone tell me what color the original front mat was on a Station Wagon. By the time I was old enough to remember, on our old family wagon, it was always black. However my car is 1 year older than I am, so I haven't a clue what color it was when dad bought it new.
