Topic: Touring Class & Touring Class 'A'

At National Meets, what is the difference in qualifications between the 'Touring Class" and 'Touring Class A'? I'm having a difficult time decerning between the two as seen in the Club Roster.

MG, if you've found the rules in the Roster, any further comment may tend to muddy the waters for you and others. If you have a concern about a particular modification, post what you have here, and we will be glad to advise. I do know I won't get in trouble by saying that any car that qualifies for Touring will also qualify for Touring A, as the former is the more restrictive of the two.

i was wondering the same thing. my pickup has duel exhaust and headers, has a custom seat cover and it is not the original color but a ford color.also it has a 35 21 stud motor and mechanical brakes

Can't spell my way out of a paper bag!

Touring cars are limited to Ford approved options along with the allowed updates listed in item H.

Touring A cars are allowed to have aftermarket options from the era along with the updates listed in item H.

If you have after market wheels, an alternator, etc. You would place your car in Touring A.

You can get assistance on which class at the Safety Check.
