Topic: Question on Window Glass for '40 Ford

I'm working on restoring my 1940 Ford Convertible and have been researching the windows that were installed in the car. I have been unable to identify the "bug" that is etched in the door glass and I was wondering if what I currently have is a replacement window. Here is a picture of the glass "bug".

If anyone has any ideas on this, please let me know as it is the only marking that is on the window.

The bug you have is not correct. The glass must have been replaced at some time. You could have the glass replaced and place the correct bug on the glass yourself. Roy Nacewicz sells a kit for this.

You'll find that etching your own glass is rather easy.
Here's the website address of Carleton Glass. These kits are very easy to use.
