Topic: Speedometer Cable

I must replace the speedo cable on my '39 Ford coupe (frayed casing). The standard length is 71". However, I have a Columbia 2-speed with a speed changer mounted to the firewall, which requires the std cable to be looped at the frame. Since this results in unnecessary friction, I am looking for a shorter cable, without going to a specialty shop. Does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a shorter cable with a metal casing and the correct mechanical connectors (one female and one male)?

Joe, check with the Model A parts suppliers.I think the Model A cable is shorter and uses the same speedometer ends.
