Topic: Auburn 2011 question

Need some help in trying to locate a car I saw at the Auburn meet last August. A '36 that was there had some neat modifications. I was especially interested in how he did the the rumble area of his coupe. If you know who's car this was I appreciate an email or PM.

Thanks

Tom

  Hi Tom,

My records indicate that we had 2 Black 5W Coupes registered at the 2011 Central National Meet in Auburn. Or, Is it Blue? Do you have additional info to pin down which '36 it might be?

Pat

  Hi Pat-

Since I placed that query I have been trying to match up the many pictures I have of cars with rumble seats. I now believe the car in question is not a '36 but a black '35 5-window with cream (yellow) wheels. It looks like it might have '37 seats.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Tom

  Hi Tom,

I spoke with the owner of the '35 Ford 5W (Rich) and he indicated that he would check out this thread. He's a nice fellow...with lots of information! Good luck,

Pat

Flatheadfan: Your "Auburn question" photo is my 35 Coupe with modified rumble seat area. I just got off the phone with Pat Fenner who alerted me to this request. I did all modifications myself and will be happy to send construction photos etc. The modifications include a 37 front seat (with 35 bedford cloth pattern) and a modified shelf and floor (tool box) area. We have driven the car this way for about 25,000 miles. Works great.

  Hi Rich-

You really have a sweet looking car. I also have a '35 coupe and would like some info on how you did some things. If you could send me a PM (I don't want to tie-up the message board with my questions) and I can go into details.

Thanks

Tom
