Topic: 36 coupe bumper bracket question

The short story is: could somebody measure the distance between the front fender and the back of the outer bumper bolt for me?

The long story is the original brackets I had turned out to be 37 not 36. Luckly for some other guys who had 37's, I gave them to them for the freight cost. Then a I bought a set of "35/36 brackets" that just "Ain't"!

The outers set the bolt about 1 1/2 inch from the fender and the inners come up about 2 inches short of reaching the bumper. I can add on to the bolt edge to the frame hole to make up the difference but I don't know what the correct distance should be.

My bumper is OK and a dead match for the rear one that fits the brackets well.

HELP!

Tom , there is a difference in the bumpers and the outer brackets from 1935-36. If you have the V-8 Club's 35-36 book you can see the differences on page #24.
