Topic: 1933 steering wheel light switch rod

  Hi All,

I am new here and would like to say Hi first of all!

I will be undertaking a restoration project of a 1933 ford 5 window coupe that was my grandfather's. He passed away a few years ago and never got around to restoring the car.

He had gathered most of the parts needed but it seems that the steering wheel and the light switch is pretty deteriorated and needs to be replaced.

I have found a replacement wheel, but I can only find a light switch rod for a 1932 ford.

My question is can I use '32 rod in the '33?

Thanks in advance!

Suggest you submit a wanted ad for the 33 horn rod. both here and on the fordbarn.com. Be aware there are two different length rods for the 33-34 rods, they appear identical, make sure you measure yours and get the same length. The 32 rod may not be the correct length and it has a very different appearance.

  Thank you for the suggestion.

I'll check out the Fordbarn.com as well.

I have not yet taken possession of the car. It is Missouri and I am in Louisiana, but I'll be going up to get it in the next month or two.

Once I measure the old rod, I'll post in the "Wanted" section on both sites.

Thanks again,

Brad
