I have a 1947 Ford and I'm in the process of installing a Columbia overdrive. My question is: will the vacuum control valve assembly (valve that uses two solenoids and mounts on the head) operate on 12-volts? If not, any suggestions on how to solve the problem? Maybe use a resister in the hot line feeding the valve assembly? I'd appreciate your comments.
