Any recommendations for sources for replacement of Choke-knob linkage, the thin plastic(?) from knob to firewall rod?

I don't believe it is a separate part, but rather a flattened piece of metal that the knob was originally molded to. You should be able to find a replacement knob/rod assy.
at Bob Drake, Dennis Carpenter or C&G on-line catalogs. Take a look at your hand throttle knob/linkage, and they should be the same except for knob marking.

Is this what you are looking for? The knob with the metal piece in Dennis Carpenter's catalog.

Or are you looking for the part that fits in the dash that the knob goes through?

Both of them are available from Dennis Carpenter.
