Topic: '36 fuel line fittings size

Flatbob    -- 10-08-2011 @ 2:05 PM
Can someone tell me the size and type (NPT or AN) of the fittings that go on the end of fuel line from the pump to carb? Was told they were 1/8 NPT but that's not the case; am trying to make up a rubber fuel line that I can "T" into to check fuel pressure. Thanks

Purchase your fittings from one of the parts vendors.

I have not been able to find the fittings at an auto parts store for many years .

Fuel line fittings are not pipe thread, but use a ferrule as a seal. We usually solder them to the line to be sure they seal properly. Don't over tighten them, or the threads will be damaged.
