Well, trying to install the W/S after replacing the rubber seal. Can't get the left side countersunk head screws to start. I left the other five screws loose so I could do it, but no avail. I have been trying to complete project for over a month. Is a better and easier way to complete this project??? I'm ready to take the car to a crusher(LOL) Should I take the header panel off inside and remove the hinges and then put the hinge on the w/s fram and reinstall? I'm at my wits end. But I still love these old FORDS!!

Please help me. I'd even pay someone in the Redding, CA area to come and do it for me.

Dale, I did my 37 a few months ago and the header panel should be removed.I loosened the hinges, but did not take them out. You should have a second person as it is much easier. The windshiel and glass are heavy. I did mine by myself, but an extra set of hands will make it easier.I put a towel on the bottom of the body cavity to protect the dash. The towel also set up the clearance for the windshield to clear the bottom of the body cavity when it closes.

Windshield hinge screws are subjected to lots of moisture, and erosion of the threads in both sides of the joint is common. If you can obtain new screws, it makes the job easier, but Ford had a practice of using odd thread pitches, and they may be hard to come by.
