I took my '37 fordor out for a nice country drive this afternoon with my Dad. It was nice to see a smile out of him. The car did well with the engine running around 160 and the generator "finally" charging at 10 amps. Halfway through our ride I did feel one spark skip out of it but it was okay for the rest of the 5 mile travel back home. I hope it's nothing and it doesn't return. I sure get lots of looks especially from the younger kids. I'm planning on entering it in our hometown car show this coming Saturday if the weather is nice. I didn't mean to take up forum space but I would like to thank everyone for their help in making my ride possible! Don Inguaggiato

Don, you take up as much Forum space as you please! Stories like yours are worth the read any day in my book. Alan

Don, I agree with Alan. Most of the posts on the Forum are about problems, it's nice to read about a car that has performed as designed. Most of the cars in the Early Ford V-8 Club do perform that way, but we get very few comments about normal operation on the Forum. Tom

I'd love to hear more about your '37. 2012 will be the 75th Anniversary of the 1937 Fords. Could use the story and photos of your '37. I usually get plenty of the "beautiful" cars - Cabriolets, Convertibles, etc. but very few Fordors, Coupes, etc.
