I'm looking for a wiring diagram (or any other help) that shows how to wire the convertible components on a 1947 convertible. Thanks.

Are you referring to the top pump? It requires a solenoid to operate the pump motor, and is activated by a special switch to power the pump and determine the flow of the fluid. The original system used brake fluid, and most systems I have seen are in no condition to function due to corrosion caused by moisture attracted to the fluid. We usually install an aftermarket pump that uses ATF as a medium. Good info is available from Hydro-E-Lectric. You can find them with your browser.

I purchased a wiring harness for my 48 Convertible from Tyree Harris and attached are the two wiring diagrams that he furnished for the top motor.

Attached is the other diagram that was not in the first reply.

Hello williemcl. The second wiring diagram is what I was looking for. Thanks a lot.

The pump for the top is non-reversable, so the fluid direction is controlled by a valve actuated by the top control rod, which also turns the pump motor on. All the wiring does is work the pump solenoid. Even if you can get the pump and valve working, be prepared for a shower of old brake fluid from the cylinder seals which are almost always ineffective from aging. The original system used brake fluid, which is a very efficient paint remover!
