Topic: Fuel Help

Took the '37 Ford out for a drive the other day and no issues. The next day I tried to take it out and had a hard start. I had no gas coming out of the nozzles when I moved the throttle by hand. I removed the carb top and my float was way down in the bowl. For a test I filled the bowl back up with gas and replaced the top. I checked it the following day and the fuel was right up to the top. I took it for another drive and then shut it down. The next morning the bowl was half empty. There are no internal or external leaks anywhere. I replaced the accel. pump, power jet and a new Grose needle and seat. Where is my gas going just sitting overnight? Thanks, Don

Doning, It looks like you've covered most possible causes, the only one I can think of that is still left is heat soak boil out. Without the water circulation and air from the fan, your engine compartment is a bakery. Today's fuel being highly volatile, it evaporates quickly even without heat soak.
