What is the best quality rear main seal(if there's even a choice)to use for a full rebuild of my 37 Ford 21 stud engine? Also, will appreciate comments on any installation issues and tips where applicable.

I have had great success with the ones with what looks like teflon (gray) colored seals from Speedway

I've heard the Teflon coated seals are better, but haven't used them. The regular seals must be soaked in motor oil overnight before installation. They should't need to be trimmed before installation, but if you do, don't get carried away. The need to be forced into position to work properly. Put sealer, such as Permatex on both the ends of the seals and the parting place on the holders.
