Hi, I have a Ford 1941, and I have a doubt about muffler dimmensions. I have the 1941-1948 Ford Book, but I canĀ“t read correctly this drawing. I would appreciate if somebody can send me a drawing or indicate to me those dimmensions. Best regards, Amadeo Tamarit

Amadeo: I have a NOS Ford oval end muffler that is the only one that will fit a 1941 Ford V8. This is a "one year muffler" due to it shape and outlet pipe diameter( a 1/4 smaller dia that a 42-48 Ford tail pipe). How can I get a message to you? Email? Phone? Mail? Bill Large

Oops! I was wrong when I said the 41 Ford used a unique one year muffler that is oval shape. The 39/40/41 cars all used the same muffler 99A-5230 that is round. The 42/48 cars used the oval muffler with domed ends 2GA-5230-A. Bill Large

As I recall, the muffler used from 39 thru 41 were the same round type, except an extension must be added for the '41 on the inlet side of about six inches.
