I'm looking for the company(s) that sells the two small convertible windshield garnish moulding trim pieces for 1946-48 Fords - one piece joins the garnish moulding at the lower-center of the windshield and has a hole in it for the wiper switch, the other piece joins the garnish moulding at the center-top of the windshield.

Contact Al Meier at almeier9@yahoo.com or 636-561-6484. Thanks.

Al: Those are called "moulding clips", and when I needed them for my '47 convertible, I looked everywhere, but didn't find a source. We finally made them from sheet metal. When they are woodgrained, they match well. We had to insert some material behind the garnish to bring it out to the clips to prevent gaps. Fortunately, the chrome trim that fits around the garnish was on the car. Those, too, are almost imposible to find. I have seen chrome fender welt used, even though nit is usually a bit larger than the original.

Give Richard Williams a call at (909) 865-0375. He made me a windshield bottom center cover (with hole) two years ago. Good luck.
