This is one of the fuel pump kits,
from www.then-now.com,,,SEE PICTURE....!!!
part number FPA-44 I bought this for my 37,non glass bowl,
this is AMERICAN MADE,for AMERICAN CARS,
come with full multi page instructions so just about anybody can rebuild a simple fuel pump,
thought some EARLY V8 FORD People would be interested in buying, so would not have any more problems..
AMERICAN MADE PARTS,
I have had one in my car for many years with NO PROBLEMS,
I saw some of the pumps that are on the market and do not look too promising,,for sure..to me
My 3 cents RAGTOPMAN

The kit appears to be multi year due to the different valves supplied. Many times the linkage is worn, it would be nice to be able to replace that but do not see the parts necessary. I would like to see a "rubber type" fuel proof gasket for the upper cover, but nearly all supply cork.

Be sure that any kit you buy is "fuel proof", using nitrile rubber. Too often, these kits have been on the shelf well before tha arrival of alcohol laced fuels. Too many order takers don't know. If so, try somewhere else.

Just to let you know, that I have one of these kits in my 37 for least 5 years with no problem. seems to me this is a proven AMERICAN MADE fuel pump kit, and people should be aware of this so they can do the job one time and forget it,
I think this is the only kit that comes with step by step instructions,

40 coupe yes it is a multi year fuel pump kit,
and yes its not good to rebuild a worn out pump,
save it and use for parts,
on e-bay you will see rebuilt pumps, that are nos.
the idea is to buy one of these . remember these did pass inspection for no parts worn,
but the diaphram has to be replaced because the new gas will destroy the rubber that was used years ago,
but the rest of it should be a good candiate for a excellant rebuild, with a then and now rebuild kit,
also THEN and NOW rebuilds your pump replacing any worn parts,
this also keeps the car more original,
I have seen some of the new replacements, and would not even consider using one of them,
they do not look like original and look flimsy at best,
