I have a distributor for my '40 V8, it was supposed to be rebuilt...I would like to find someone with the proper machine to go over it and also I want the coil rebuilt....who will do this? Thanks.

John Shelor is an expert on a real rebuild and setup by scoping on distributors. He is an older gentleman, a retired electrical engineer I believe,very underrated without the fanfair given the usual referrals.
