Topic: transmission change

I have a 48 Ford fordor sedan with a small block chevy motor and 350 transmission. It has mustang II suspension with a ford 8" rear end. Power brakes using the stock pedal mounted under the floor. I want to install a Saginaw 4 speed in place of the automatic. Has anyone worked on this exchange? Any info as to installation tricks would really be appreciated.
Hope someone can give me ideas.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim, this website mainly deals with stock restoration of the early V8 fords. When you ask questions about hot rodded or street rodded early fords, you sometimes get little or no response. You may want to ask your question on WWW.fordbarn.com or maybe on the H.A.M.B. websites. You would have to join either of these websites before you can make a post. They also like new folks to make an introduction. I'm sure you would get plenty of information/suggestions on how to tackle replacing your existing transmission with a four speed transmission. Good luck!
