g,day folks, can anybody tell me how to fit new springs to the bonnet hinges on a 1946 ford? do you have to make a jig or is there an easier way any help would be much appreciated.

The easiest way is to add thick washers between the coils of the springs until they are long enough to install. You can bend the spring to increase the gap to install the washers. Remove the washers after installation. Tom
