Topic: 1939 Deluxe Sedan brake drums

Let me undo the confusion I caused: I am looking for a set of four brake drums that will fit a 1939 Ford Deluxe Sedan. I believe drums for the
'37 and '38 models will also fit this vehicle. I would appreciate any help club members might be able to provide in this search for these hard to find parts. Thanks.

Scranton, one thing about confusion: it breeds more confusion! May I suggest that in the future, you continue the original post rather than to post anew? Even a very old post will bump to the top of the page when someone posts an answer.

I understand that there are new drums available, but would hold out for original, as quality and safety are the same thing here.

Check the classified sections of this and other websites. They do turn up occasionally. Of course, you can post there also.

I suppose my posting a new message is due to my ignorance of the Club's protocol on that subject. It is obviously more efficient to keep to one thread. Sorry.

'37-'39 brake drums are not that difficult to find. I see them quite often at flea markets on internet for sale ads, etc. I just bought four nice ones a couple weeks ago.

Scranton as JM suggests the 37-39 drums can be found at swap meets or on e-Bay. Just make sure they haven't been turned down so far that they may be dangerous to use. New repo drums are not available for the 39. They are only made for the 40 and up bolt pattern.
