Are there decent reproductions available or do all the vendors have the same supplier? The samples I've seen were pretty thin metal...

There are different manufacturers of the hubcaps. As an example there is a noticeable difference between the 41 hubcaps made by Drake vs Vintique. You should ask the V-8 vendors which caps they carry. I'm also aware that some of the repo caps will not fit some of the aftermarket wheels. I will say the repo stainless caps are far superior than the old chrome steel caps from Argentina. I recall the old Argentine caps from J.C. Whitney did not have the Ford script. The script on those caps said "FOOL".
