Topic: Top rests and window bumper location needed

Concept Cars    -- 05-23-2011 @ 5:40 PM
Would someone be so kind as to provide the original locations of the top rests (grab handles) and rear window bumpers.
Ideally, I would like a template to know exactly where those parts mount to the deck lid of my '32 roadster.
Thank you !!

You'll get better response by posting in the 1932 Ford section.

The top rests (incorrectly called grab handles) mount to the top of each quarter panel, the 2 window bumpers attach to the panel between (above) the trunk/rumble opening and the seat aduster. Neither attach to the decklid or rumble lid. I am presently not at the same location as my roadster to measure where the holes go but I am sure someone else will provide location or image of a template.

Thank you I posted my question there too.

  Deuce_Roadster,
Thank you for responding, I appreciate if you can provid these dimensions.
My concern is that I follow the correct and original dimensions. Part of your reply..."the 2 window bumpers attach to the panel between (above) the trunk/rumble opening and the seat aduster. Neither attach to the decklid or rumble lid",... I don't understand the "seat aduster" part? I'm thinking the bumpers protect the deck lid scratches caused by the rear window when folded. So all these parts go between the body mounted wood tacker strip and rumble seat opening, perhaps I should refer to this area as the "rear deck", not lid, but are we talking about the same general area? I would be most appreciative of some photos or dimensions from original cars with these parts so I can confirm locations. Thank you!!!
