Hi Super; Thanks for your responce. I have a vacuum gauge and always adjust a carb with one. Both of these carbs pull a steady 21 inches of vacuum. I have another rebuilt 91-99 that i will try.

Another trick is to spray some carb cleaner on the throttle shaft ends to see if it affects the idle speed. We try for an idle of about 500' rather than 1000.
