  As is often said here, the "true" value of any car is what a willing buyer pays. Our price guide says that a '52 Crestline convertible tops out at $30,000. That would be for an immaculate example. The more usual #2's are listed at $21,000, and the #3's, at $13,500. A 50% premium is paid for the rare "pace car replicas", and a deduction is taken for 6 cylinder cars. In almost all cases, convertibles are the top valued models in any year. As the saying goes "when the top goes down, the price goes up". Those of us who own open cars certainly hope this is true!

  Tierod, as you know from many previous posts, we cannot place a value on a car based on the skimpy information provided here. The advice we've given you in the past generally applies to all collector cars, so by now, you should be as knowledgeable on the subject as we are.
