Hello, does anyone knows how to take out, and inspect the water pump. It is wobbly and leaks water, please see photo attached (leakage is from under the water pump pulley) thanks R

I wouldn't waste time looking at it. Rebuild or replace them (always replace both if one is bad). You need a pair of 78-8501/2. Bob Drake has them as the "new improved" type. www.bobdrake.com To replace the pumps, place a large piece of wooden board under the oil pan. Unbolt the front motor mounts, and jack up the engine until the mounts are free. Remove the water pump bolts, including the one inside the inlet. Install the new pumps with a new gasket. We use a sh*llac-type sealer on the gaskets. Lower the pumps onto the mounts and replace the washers and nuts. If you would rather rebuild the pumps, we have the info on who can do it. For myself, I'd opt for the new type. Not as expensive as a rebuild, and have much better flow.

Don't worry about inspecting it if it is wobbly and leaks, it's time for a rebuild. Skip seems to have the best reputation 941-637-6698. Be aware that there is one bolt that is accessible (and visible) through the part of the casting where the hose attaches. It is usually rusted and difficult to remove. People frequently hammer on a 6 point socket to remove it. Charlie Stephens
