  Hello,
I'd like to know what the correct wheel design is for my 39 pickup? I've scanned the internet and it's a mixed bag?
I'm a dummy when it comes to rewire ing my truck. What company has the simplest set of instructions to do a total rewire?
Did the 39 trucks have a radio option?
Does the windshield crank open? What's the knob on top of the dashboard for? Mine is frozen.
Thanks!
Dave

A pickup (1/2 ton) has the same wheel as the passenger car. The rims were the same from 1936 to 1939. They are the wide bolt pattern.
You are right there are lots of wire reproductions out there. I know Little Dearborn in Minneapolis sells good reproductions with easy to understand directions and pictures.
Not sure about a radio in a pickup. Probably not Ford but aftermarket.
You should have a cowl vent, between the hood and windshield. The knob in the top center of the dash will be for cranking it open and closed. Look under the dash for the mechanism. It should look like the modern scissors jacks found in modern cars.

Good luck. I am sure others will also respond.

Bruce, did you mean to say that the knob on the dash is to crank out the windshield? I read it as the knob operated the cowl vent.

Yes Tom..............my eyes saw what I was seeing, and my fingers typed something else. Thanks for the correction.
