Topic: 35 Windshield Removal

I'm removing the windshild for rechroming. Managed to detach all screws except the two at the bottom where the crank arms support the entire frame. Can't get at those two screws with a 7" screw driver. Trying to use a stuffy, the handle is too big to get the proper angle on those two screws. Am I doing something wrong?

On my '36 I crank the windshield all the way out and use a 1/4" drive ratchet with a good quality 1/4" flat screwdriver socket.

  Jfoster-

I can't speak for others but I usually just poke the pin out that holds the gear assembly to the lower windshield clip. This will quickly separate the the gear from the windshield which will allow the windshield to be removed and then you can deal with the screws directly.
