What is the best way to install new window anti-rattles on a '50 Ford that are originally fastened with wire staples?? Thanks.

We use either small sheet metal screws or small pop rivets. It is close to impossible to use the original staple holes.

Use needle nose pliers to cut and form metal paper clips into staples, then use and ice pick to start new holes in the fuzzies, then insert the the staples into the fuzzies (try to put the holes at the same distance as the old ones were on the old fuzzies), then insert the staples into the metal and bend them over and squeeze them with pliers. It will take some time but it will look identical to the way it was done at the factory. I've got some that were installed that way 30 years ago that still look great. Jim Farrell

I do it much like Jfarrell but use aircraft mechanics wire instead. It's stainless. And, instead of bending, you can simply twist it so there is no fear of damaging the finish on your moldings.

Thanks for the tips. Now, to decide which way works for me.
