Where would I find an exploded view of 8BA transmission & clutch assembly? Thanks, Bob

If you are referring to a car, the clutch is the same as the earlier type, using a "ring" adapter for the housing. I've attached a diagram of the transmission.

Thanks Bob, what I really want to see or know is where the "clutch equalizer bushings" would be located in a '49-'51 bellhousing.

I assumed you were putting an 8BA in an earlier vehicle. I'm attaching a view of the clutch. It is actually from a truck manual, but is similiar to the car setup, in that it uses the same floating fork arrangement.

Bob, you assume correctly. I'm using a 4 speed toploader (Rug J2) that will bolt directly to the back of the stamped 8BA bell which will back up a late flathead. Wilcap says the clutch release fork that's on the 8BA bell will accept the 1 1/16" t/o bearing that is listed for the small shaft toploader. I will be using a diaphragm type pressure plate rather than the "long style" as original. Also, am using a Jeep shifter with the toploader which will put the shift lever in the correct location. Your picture makes this more clear to me how this SHOULD work. Thanks, Bob
