Hey, Please, somebody help. I'm still trying to remove the fuel tank. I'm trying to get the filler neck off. Help!!! PLEASE,

Flatfoot, your filler neck needs to be removed with the use of a special spanner wrench, used on the large nut at the tank. Look closely, you should see it. As I understand, a plumbers spanner should work. There is a lead washer under the nut sealing the neck to the tank. Alan

flatfoot- This is the tool (or something like it) to remove the neck. However, even with the correct tool removing the fuel neck on a '35-'36 can be a REAL challenge. Use the best rust-buster you can find (a 50-50 blend of acetone-ATF works great) and let things soak for a few days. It is not unheard of that in some cases guys have resulted to cutting the neck to remove the tank and then used a fuel tank hose to reconnect things back together. Good luck. Tom
