Do y'all have any suggestions as to who I can send my '50 deluxe radio to for repairs? It stopped working, so I substituted for all of the tubes and the vibrator, but they do not seem to be problem. It was restored several years ago, an FM tuner was added and the rectifier tube was replaced with a solid state rectifier. Richard

Before sending the radio off for repair get a cheap speaker from Radio Shack and substitute it. Lots of time the problem is the speaker. John

Regarding radio repairs, can anyone suggest someone that can restore my radio--6 volt, '53 Lincoln--to work with 6 volt and AM/FM? I'd like to keep the car 6 volt but have access to FM radio. Thanks, 32hoke

There is a product available called 'RediRad' that provides an external audio input to cars with 6 volt positive ground radios. It connects in between the car antenna and the radio and allows for Ipod, MP3, CD, FM radio input. You can get a small MP3/FM tuner device anywhere for under $50.00 that would provide the FM tuner.
