Hello, Does anyone know of a good flathead engine mechanic and or engine re-builder near St. Louis, MO? I'm in Alton, ILL which is close to St. Louis. My '48 V8 in my Coupe has developed what I suspect may be a piston slap. Also, I'm looking for a radiator shop (do they still exist?) that can rod out the radiator or maybe re-core it. Thank you. Ted

If you are a Club member, look in your roster and call some members in your area for recommendations. If "piston slap" is loud enough to be a problem, it is likely something serious is wrong in your engine.
