Need to replace the rubber hose between the filler neck and gas tank on my 51. Looks like I'll have to undo the two straps and lower the tank. Is there any other tricks to do before I start? Thanks

No need to lower the tank. You can remove the filler neck without lowering the tank. But I'll bet you need to remove the tank & clean & seal it. Drop me an email. fordpontiacman@msn.com with a ph# & I will be glad to help you. Sherrel
