I have the big transmission that came out of this pickup when I took it apart many years ago. I also have the transmission from a 39 panel. Here is my question. One of them had a 9" clutch/pressure plate, the other had a 10" clutch/pressure plate. What is the correct size for my 37? I am using the 24 stud 85 hp motor which came from the 39. The front frame is cleaned up and painted and I'm getting ready to drop the motor back in.

37, Unless you plan on some heavy truckin', a properly installed and adjusted 9" will work fine. Another consideration is that the 10" will require the pan to drop for installation. Alan
