Topic: Wanted: 1941 Ford V-8 passenger car radiator

I am looking for a good radiator to fit my stock 1941 Ford V-8 tudor passenger car. From what I have so far learned, the radiator is specific to the year 1941. Cooling capacity is the top priority, next is price. It does not have to replicate the OEM 2 seperate radiator cores with common collector tanks, top & bottom. Nor does it have to provide a crank hole. But it does have to fit & width is critical. '42 & later radiators are too wide. Brasswork Radiators are too d*mn high in price at $875+. Isn't there a good radiator out there for $200 or less or am I dreaming? I would prefer a radiator that takes a modern pressure cap & not the wider OEM cap so I can pressure test the system. I would prefer a new radiator that fits to re-coring my old radiator.

$200 radiators do not exist. Recores of originals are $400 or more. The price of copper and brass has gone up a lot in the last two years. I don't think you will find a new flathead radiator for less than $600.

The Walker radiator will fit your 41 with some modifications. It will have the modern inlet so you can pressure test it. They are made of aluminum and do not cool as well as the ones with a copper core. IMHO you would be better off having your radiator re-cored.

TomO, Walker only makes brass/copper radiators. The aluminum ones are made by Griffin, Afco, and a few others.
