Topic: 35 Phaeton Side Mirrors

Which side view mirror functions best for a 35 Phaeton, curved or straight arm???

The 1935-1936 Book-page 123 states that neither straight nor curved arm was reccomended for the roadster or phaeton due to the door hindge being to low...

So can any one comment on what works best for them??

Thanks

  35P,

Not exactly what you asked for but I'll comment as the R's & P's are quiet.

I have a pair of tall curved ones on my '35 Cabriolet and I do know what you're talking about regarding the hinge. However, I find the tall curved ones are "up" in my sight line. If they were 2-3 inches lower, it would be better for me and I am only 5' 8" tall.

Short of sitting in someone else's roadster, I think I would just buy one, soft clamp it at the hinge and see if it worked for you. Also, I think it would be good if you had your curtains up because that might be where you would have most of the problem.
