What are some nice sounding mufflers I can install on my 35 Ford,something with a nice mello tone and a good rap nothing too harsh,how are the Smitty Mufflers? Thanks

about what you asked for!! a friend has straight exhaust on his 35 and they sound out if you back off at about 50 mph, rest of the time they are like smitty's

For that unique flathead sound nothing can beat a set of Smithy's. I have them on my '41 and always get a comment like "Boy those flatheads sure sounded great" at car shows.They have been on the car for over 12 years now and are still in great shape. Try 'em you won't be disappointed

I have always used the regular glasspacks. I use the 30 inch ones and they sound good. They are cheaper than Brockman's or "Smittys". JMHO

I'll go with the Brockmans. I don't think the new Smithys sound as good as they did 15 to 20 years ago. I changed the Smithys to Brockmans steel pack.

I use generic glass packs, and they sound "just right". Too often we pay a premium for name brand stuff.
