  I have a 1935 Ford will I see much of an improvement if I change my rear tires to 6.50x16 ,I now have 600x16 I need a little more speed?Thanks

  Probably not. Widening the tread may actually increase rolling resistance unless you opt for radial tires. On old cars, that can raise handling problems if the steering system isn't in top shape. Speed is more the function of rear end gearing than tire size. You might consider installing an overdrive if you do a lot of hiway driving.
