Mr Lawson Cox has made a perfect tool for this purpose that can be used from the top of the motor. He may can provide pictures and a drawing . I made one, used it, (it's perfect), I loaned it out and it hasn't come back. I found my pictures but you have disabed your private messages and I can't seem to post pics.

  I made a special wrench for that purpose many years ago by sawing an old 5/8" wrench and brazing the handle at a right angle to the head. It beats spending big bucks for a job that is seldom required.

  Bill Wzorek, the shock re-builder in MA, who frequently posts on both Fordbarn and Chevybarn, also makes a very nice oil pressure sending unit removal tool. I bought one from him a couple years ago for $25.00. Click on attachment below to see picture.
