i have split the rear frame sandblasted, repaired holes inner and outer frames and reinstalled the rivets and rear crossmember, Question is, were they soft or hard hot rivets originally?? I used soft cold rivets but the original ones seem to be harder. never brinnel tested one but does anyone know? didn't just see replacement rivets in the Mac's parts listed?? made a rivet tool from a pair of vise grips to clamp and allow air riveter to head of rivet, works great in seconds and leaves a perfect shaped head both sides!! very tight!

At Hershey I spoke with some real nice people who run a business called Big Flat Rivets. Here is the web address of their website: www.bigflatsrivet.com
They also have the bucking tool to put the waffle finish on the underside of the rivet too. If you call them I am sure they can help you
